Showtime!

Welcome to my monthly update
I've basically been pretty worthless for the past month, i haven't done much, but i hope to soon end all the worthlessness, i have finally started looking for jobs
....
kind of..
i'm more willing to go to interviews and such now...
haha

as for any crazy updates in my life
none

The Redskins on the other hand..
freakin AY
the offense is productive, the defense is holding up, and our special teams isn't too shabby
honestly we look good, but it's hard to be confident in this team
and i only say that because our point differential is so low..
if you look at past champions in any sport, the teams with high point differentials are usually up there, if teams are blowing out other teams consistently, it shows that they are more legit than a team where the point differential is lower usually means that the team tends to get lucky more than they are good
now i'm not saying that the redskins are lucky, but, as much as i believe the skins are in an elite class, i can't put my guard down until we've won the Super Bowl

with that being said
i think Clinton Portis is the early season MVP
that dude has been a workhorse since day 1
although we traded a lot (and i mean ALOT) for him
in the end, we didn't get as badly shafted as i had originally believed

baseball has been a disaster for me all season long.
first of all, the yanks aren't in the playoffs for the first time in like 14 years..
what a freakin shame... even yanks haters must admit, it's not the same without them...
although the rays actually look like a baseball team this year.. wow
i think the red sox-rays game is going to be closer than people believe, these guys did not back down to the red sox this year, and in the playoffs, anything can happen.. although i fear experience may win out in this case...
the dodgers and phillies matchup is actually pretty exciting
i want to see a manny vs. the red sox matchup for many reasons, these reasons include:
i hate the red sox with a passion, which actually led to me liking the yankees, despite popular belief that i became a bandwagon fan..
anyways.. yea, seeing the red sox lose to the dodgers and joe torre and manny.. brings joy to me
speaking of joe torre, he is another reason i want the dodgers to win
that man deserves all the good things that have come his way
dealing with the steinbrenners (hank and george) takes much juevos and patience
and he's a players coach, he's not a power hungry manager like many out there, he's a good guy, i'm really sad that he got screwed over here, but i still love the dude, he was a great manager for the Yanks and brought back this once proud franchise to the elite team that it is now

i hate bud selig
he screwed over the astros this year
how convenient that in the middle of a hectic wild card race, during the hurricane, they are asked of all places, to play in milwaukee, against the cubs, whose fans are merely an hour away from there
hm...
and mind you, at this point the astros had been on a HUGE tear since the all-star break..
home field advantage is important in sports, and the astros having to play at "home" in milwaukee was just... redickulous (yes i still spell it this way and always will)
hm.. wait a minute, u say bud selig is still connected to the brewers? oooo.. and who made the wild card?
the brewers you say?
how ever did that happen?
bud selig, and believe me, i'm not the only person that believes this: you are the worst commissioner in sports today

sorry i had to vent about the stros being gayed this year...

moving along.
Capitals.. stanley cup 2009 baby
wizards.. nba championship.. someday!!

i realize that the more and more i sit and do nothing, the more and more i get tired...
i need to do something with my life
and i'm pretty sure i say this all the time..

Church life has been pretty hectic
Being the JG slave has it's ups and downs.... many ups.. few downsand in no way am i complaining
but overall it's been a very humbling experience, and it will continue to be so
i have no plans of being a pastor, but seeing these pastors in their elements
it's pretty interesting
being a pastor is more than just speaking on sundays and leading bible studies
you are invested in these students
you believe that God is going to work in each and everyone of these kids
it's hard to see so many fall away or not care
it takes a toll
all you can have is faith i guess
hebrews 11:1 rite?
