It's almost time for the holidays

What's up
I just realized how close we are to the holiday season!
it really is the best time of the year
everyone is back from school
people are just generally happier (probably cuz they know that they're getting a gift)
the only thing i dislike about these times is the traffic that occurs everywhere i go
but besides that
it's the beginning of a new year
yes, i know for me the new year started when i graduated from school and got sucked into the real world
but i'm gonna go ahead and wait for the new year to officially consider myself an adult

i guess thinkin about
i have many things that i wanna do from here until next year

1.) Find a job
This one i don't really care for, but for my parents sake, i feel i should, just so my parents don't have to keep answering to those dummies who constantly ask them if i've found a job yet......

2.) Find a hobby
I've realized that video games can only go so far
I refuse to learn any more chords for the guitar
so that leaves me with nothing
i will make that something into nothing

3.) Try to zero in on what i want to do with my life
My goal in life is to be a principal
But in order to become a principal, i must become a teacher
so that is what i'm thinkin about workin on rite now
P.E. teacher seems ideal yea?

4.) Work on my shoulder
My shoulder has been giving me problems for the past 2 years
something is wrong with my rotater cuff
as well as the ligaments around it
but luckily i am some kind of robot and i can still move it
i refuse to do nothing about it
i will figure out a solution

5.) Visit Tech more
I visited my alma mater this weekend
it was one of the best decisions that i've made in a while
it was so good to see my kids again
it was also amazing to hear Pastor Q speak again
that man is a legend in my books
even though i didn't go to a hokie game or experience home place
it was still one of the best times, probably cuz i got to hang out with a lot of awesome peeps

and lastly
6.) I want to become a legend
My whole life, i've been nothing but basically worthless
no more
whether it be a football legend, ping-pong legend, cursive-writing legend
whatever
i want to become awesome at something, i think it'd be pretty cool to be able to be do something that's pretty amazing.
iono
we'll see what happens

so the Phillies won the World Series
good for Charlie Manuel
he deserves it
the Phillies have waited a long time, not 100 years long, but still long
i really hope the cubs never win
they've become so consumed with the "curse" that they've really come to believe that their team is cursed
that's why they don't try harder in the playoffs
they don't have the heart and mental game to push themselves to another level, because in their minds, the curse is bigger than their team, which is stupid and foolish
and for that
the Cubs will forever be losers in my books
At least the Red Sox fought hard when they played to break their "curse"
they constantly came out and said that the team was bigger than any curse
i hate the sox with a passion
i hate them more than i hate sand
and i am a man who truly hates sand
but i can't knock their hustle
Yankees for life

went to a wizards game tonight
we really really really need Gilbert
blatche will be solid
so will Caron (as always)
antawn will be streaky
my guess for the championship.. realistically? i think it's gonna be the celtics again
i don't think KG and PP are players who will be satisfied with just one
they're like kids who have just had candy for the first time
it was sweet and delicious
now it's time to gorge and get fat
so to speak

i have saved the best for the last
the redskins have looked pretty solid to this point in the midseason
our schedule looks interesting for the 2nd half
many difficult home games, but games that we can win
i believe that 3 teams from the nfc east will make the playoffs again
will one of those 3 be dallas?
who knows?
i do
they WON'T
holler

people wonder what i do with all this free time that i have
i think
honestly, i think a lot
about random crap
but i also have come to realize a lot of things

my family freakin rocks
yea they give me grief about finding a job, but really, they've been pretty patient and understanding
i really am thankful for that
my sister has been helping me like crazy to find a job as well, she's pretty cool i have to say
my parents have been MAD calm about me finding a job, they're also very supportive, and make me do a lot of slave work, but no real complaints here
my grandma is awesome, i know she loves me, simply put
and last but not least, my homie baxter, he has been my best friend through all of this

while i've been on this "break," i've watched many tv shows and listened to many good songs
T.V. shows that all of you must watch:
Eli Stone
Chuck
It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia

no joke these three shows will change ur life

I've also seen the Guitar Hero commercial with Kobe Bryant about 10 times
it's hilarious
A-rod and M. Phelps kill it at the end of the commercial
haha
but kobe is, as always, the star

listen to:
John Legend- This Time
Kanye West- Coldest Winter
Lady GaGa- Starstruck
Jedi Mind Tricks- Godflesh
seriously anything by Amos Lee
Live Your Life- Royce da 5'9 version, so much better than T.I.'s version no joke

enjoy

Showtime!

Welcome to my monthly update
I've basically been pretty worthless for the past month, i haven't done much, but i hope to soon end all the worthlessness, i have finally started looking for jobs
....
kind of..
i'm more willing to go to interviews and such now...
haha

as for any crazy updates in my life
none

The Redskins on the other hand..
freakin AY
the offense is productive, the defense is holding up, and our special teams isn't too shabby
honestly we look good, but it's hard to be confident in this team
and i only say that because our point differential is so low..
if you look at past champions in any sport, the teams with high point differentials are usually up there, if teams are blowing out other teams consistently, it shows that they are more legit than a team where the point differential is lower usually means that the team tends to get lucky more than they are good
now i'm not saying that the redskins are lucky, but, as much as i believe the skins are in an elite class, i can't put my guard down until we've won the Super Bowl

with that being said
i think Clinton Portis is the early season MVP
that dude has been a workhorse since day 1
although we traded a lot (and i mean ALOT) for him
in the end, we didn't get as badly shafted as i had originally believed

baseball has been a disaster for me all season long.
first of all, the yanks aren't in the playoffs for the first time in like 14 years..
what a freakin shame... even yanks haters must admit, it's not the same without them...
although the rays actually look like a baseball team this year.. wow
i think the red sox-rays game is going to be closer than people believe, these guys did not back down to the red sox this year, and in the playoffs, anything can happen.. although i fear experience may win out in this case...
the dodgers and phillies matchup is actually pretty exciting
i want to see a manny vs. the red sox matchup for many reasons, these reasons include:
i hate the red sox with a passion, which actually led to me liking the yankees, despite popular belief that i became a bandwagon fan..
anyways.. yea, seeing the red sox lose to the dodgers and joe torre and manny.. brings joy to me
speaking of joe torre, he is another reason i want the dodgers to win
that man deserves all the good things that have come his way
dealing with the steinbrenners (hank and george) takes much juevos and patience
and he's a players coach, he's not a power hungry manager like many out there, he's a good guy, i'm really sad that he got screwed over here, but i still love the dude, he was a great manager for the Yanks and brought back this once proud franchise to the elite team that it is now

i hate bud selig
he screwed over the astros this year
how convenient that in the middle of a hectic wild card race, during the hurricane, they are asked of all places, to play in milwaukee, against the cubs, whose fans are merely an hour away from there
hm...
and mind you, at this point the astros had been on a HUGE tear since the all-star break..
home field advantage is important in sports, and the astros having to play at "home" in milwaukee was just... redickulous (yes i still spell it this way and always will)
hm.. wait a minute, u say bud selig is still connected to the brewers? oooo.. and who made the wild card?
the brewers you say?
how ever did that happen?
bud selig, and believe me, i'm not the only person that believes this: you are the worst commissioner in sports today

sorry i had to vent about the stros being gayed this year...

moving along.
Capitals.. stanley cup 2009 baby
wizards.. nba championship.. someday!!

i realize that the more and more i sit and do nothing, the more and more i get tired...
i need to do something with my life
and i'm pretty sure i say this all the time..

Church life has been pretty hectic
Being the JG slave has it's ups and downs.... many ups.. few downsand in no way am i complaining
but overall it's been a very humbling experience, and it will continue to be so
i have no plans of being a pastor, but seeing these pastors in their elements
it's pretty interesting
being a pastor is more than just speaking on sundays and leading bible studies
you are invested in these students
you believe that God is going to work in each and everyone of these kids
it's hard to see so many fall away or not care
it takes a toll
all you can have is faith i guess
hebrews 11:1 rite?

breathe

can you love me- Brie Stoner
come down- Brie Stoner
You Don't Know Me- Ben Folds
